Is the top part with the sequins silver or gold color?

I made the front of the skirt part to be ankle length and the back part is still brush train. My alteration for the dress is sucessful and it is more beautiful than its formal shape, I think, haha…. We ordered the same dress and chose the same color. When we got our dresses, discovering that they belong to two different shades of red? Why? Need to know how can I choose the dress size fit for me,I do not want my dress too long or too short.
